These two Receptionists(a man and a woman) nicely rude then giggling behind the patient's back. People come in stressed needing help. Only one person in the waiting rooms so they should be excited about anyone coming in for help. Not impressed.
If you love waiting for unnecessary reasons then you will love this place. They tell you one thing and do another, and take hours doing it. Staff is nice but that's the only positive. Apparently we are waiting until 6pm to be discharged after being told we would be able to leave in the morning. The only reason? - We are waiting for someone (the only person in this whole hospital that has the authority to discharge patients I guess!!!) to get here from clinic duties. What a wonderful use of time and resources. In the meantime, the cleaning service has cleaned the room while we are still in here. I'm sure this is standard hospital procedure but it still makes me angry!!

Oct 3rd- Had my first appointment 30 days ago at 6 months pregnant. Scheduled for a sono and glucose test for today. Came into Dr Patels office at USMD and they told me they cancelled my appointment because they released me. The reason stated I did not comply with follow up care. I am so livid! Not only does that not make sense because I came to this second scheduled appointment, they did not even have the audacity to call and tell me. I wasted time, gas, and money from taking off work! They had no reason to release me and for whatever the reason may be, they should have contacted me so I would have had the whole month to seek parental care! What a huge inconvenience. The lack of professionalism is outrageous. The inattentive rude lady, Lisa, at the front desk said she does not know why and it is not her job to contact me to let me know the appointment was cancelled and I have been released! As a staff member of front office, I highly doubt her denying that she is not responsible for front office duties is agreeable upon. Seek care elsewhere they are low graded and unprofessional here. They obviously give zero cares in the world about their patients and healthcare/prenatal care. I am 7 months having to seek care elsewhere and having to look for a new doctor so far along! That gives me major emotional distress, and it is very tacky on behalf of the staff in suite 218 at USMD hospital! Dr. Patel and the entire staff have got to do better!
TERRIBLE EMERGENCY ROOM SERVICE! I took my daughter who was having terrible pain on her side and she could not walk and the girl at the desk was not paying me hardly any attention then during registration she answered her cell phone and was talking about her personal life and I found that very rude. Then they took her to the back and put an IV port in and the nurse was very nice but the doctor pretty much told us that there was nothing they could do and to take her to Cooks. So they discharged my daughter still in the hospital gown with the PORT IN HER ARM and I took her to Cook's Children's and even the doctors there were in shock that they sent her out of the hospital in that condition and I had to take her instead of an ambulance transport. Within in 2 hours she was being prepped for surgery at Cooks and they did a FABULOUS JOB!
