To put it frank, it only got worse. I scheduled my move months in advance and kept being told that the stuff will arrive on a certain date +\- 1 or 2 days, which I understood. A few weeks before I called again and they told me not to worry, the truck is going to be loading soon. A few days before they said a truck is loading now. Come to find out it was a bunch of lies, my stuff didn't arrive for nearly 9 days after its scheduled date. It was so frustrating because the people on the phone kept lying.
Absolutely horrible service, I would give them negative stars if it was possible. To start, they are so friendly and have amazing customer service, letting you know that your stuff will be well taken care of and will arrive on time in great condition.
Overall, this company is very professional and did a great job. I read other reviews with over-charging. My advice is, when dealing with this or any moving company, do your homework, read the contract, and make sure you are accurate with the quantity and dimensions with each box and non-boxed item, as well as the distances/steps the movers will be carrying your stuff. Also, be sure to box your mattress and TV. If not, they charge extra for those items.
If I could go lower I would. What they did to me and my family was highly unethical and should be illegal. It was a clever trick however. They packed my boxes 1/2 to 2/3 full. They charged me by space not weight, so it seemed like I had a lot of stuff. I complained so the they weighed it so they could charge me by weight. After the weigh in the manager replied with a "you caught a break because with all these boxes it should be a heavier load". Oblivious to why this could be I accepted the cost change. Upon arrival I realized most of the boxes were not filled all of the way so I was still over charged for boxes. Of course, things were missing but none more important than a cooler that the mover asked to have and I said no only for it to still come up missing. And I didn't even mention that they were two days late to pick it up in the first place. I should have read the signs but hopefully this review will help others make a better decision.
Condor moving is the best moving company out there! I was very very pleased with their service. I was calling around to different companies to get quotes and I kept getting quoted over $1,000 for 6-7 hours! I don't have a big house so I didn't understand how I was being quoted so much. I called condor and was connected to Mario Middleton. He was amazing! He quoted me about 3.75 hours totaling under $600!! I was very pleased so I went ahead and booked. He arrived well on time with his crew and was very fast and efficient. They uploaded and unloaded everything in just under my quoted time! While still taking apart my bed and building it back up. I felt like the other companies were just trying to take my money. Come on 6+ hours?! Mario and his crew finished in half that time! Thank you mario and his crew for the amazing experience! I'll be recommending them to my family and friends for sure!!!!
I was tired of the horrible customer service so I asked to speak to a manager. With an attitude the guy said "I am the manager" and was telling me how I'm wrong and his employees would never lie to a customer. With disrespect at an all time high, I asked for the higher up manager, at this point he said he was the CEO. I was dumbfounded! I said I was going to write a horrible review because of the terrible service and he threatened me that he was going to send his lawyers after me if I wrote a bad review, shocking!! Then after he continued to get heated he HUNG UP THE PHONE! To my disbelief, I couldn't believe it. A few minutes later the CEO called back apologizing.
When my stuff finally arrived, boxes were smashed and frames were broken. I would NEVER EVER recommend this company. I truly hope they go out of business so no one has to go through that.
Worst Moving Company EVER! The only good thing about this company is MARIO, but then after that process its horrible. My contract says they were to be picking my items up on Sunday, they wait three days before my move to tell me they can't on Sunday when i specifically told them it had to be Sunday because my lease ends Sunday. The operations manager JESSE was the worst and sarcastic. He gave me no option or even tried to fix the issue. I was surprisingly told to ask the front office if i could extend one more day or i would have to find a different company even though i put a deposit down. None of those options were helping me only them, i finally talked to my front office into extending one more night and they said yes but there would be a charge. so i called the company back and they said they could only take 40 off but anything higher would have to go through approval???? i called several companies and no one could send out a truck a short notice. THREE DAYS and especially before a weekend is unacceptable. JESSE was rude and quick to cancel my move ready to leave my stuff outside due to i had no one to pick it up or no other movers plus i am pregnant so i could not do any heavy lifting. they were suppose to call the next day with a time on Monday and never did so i went ahead and canceled and even after the whole thing they still refused to reimbursed my deposit regardless of how much they screwed up. at the end i think i dodged a bullet with this one, so everyone watch out they just seem pretty scamming to me.
