I went to Concentra Urgent Care in Arlington for a medical screening for my new job as a Police Officer. I ABSOLUTELY enjoyed my experience. The staff was very professional, and knowledgeable. The facility was kept clean, and organized. I would definitely return. Recommended to friends!!
I visited this location on 10/14/2017 for problems related to my sinuses and difficulties swallowing. Someone came into the examination room and said "I'm Karen, sit on the table and let me take a look." She looked in my ears and down my throat and said "I don't see anything." "You need to follow up with your primary physician." Then, she was headed out the door. The entire exam took 3 minutes. She appeared very tired, I would even say she appeared exhausted! She made it appear as though she had met her quota for the day. Perhaps she was in a rush because the clinic closed at 4pm and it was 4pm when she walked into the examination room. I'm not sure if Karen is a MD, APN or Medical Assistant because she did not provide me with her credentials when she introduced herself. What I am sure of is that Karen desperately needs time off.
Besides the long wait 2-4hours. I was happy with the staff who remembered me from my last visit. And as far as getting the treatment I needed I was pleased. The only issue is they were supposed to call me back with test results and didn't.
I was taken to the back after a half hour wait, my vital signs were checked and passed for the DOT physical. I was taken to an example room where I was left for an hour and a half with no further acknowledgement from the staff. I was finally seen by Dr. Heung who claimed I met the criteria for sleep apnea. I was very unhappy with the service I received and would not recommend this Concentra to anyone
I was greeted as I entered and asked how I could be helped. My ID and insurance were information was confirmed and I had no co-pay. I was happy to know this before I was seen. I was then asked to fill out a short questionnaire describing my chief reason for my visit.I was called back immediately and treated with respect. The doctor answered my questions and made her recommendations.I received an injection and my medication prescription had been faxed to my pharmacy.I received a printout of the details of my visit to share with my primary physician.
