PS - I'm still awaiting verification of their food purchase receipts, because I did see one of their administration members at Costco, and I think he bought a lot more than just their succulent New Zealand lamb chops.
Quite possibly the most amazing halal experience in all of Dallas. Except it's in Arlington. Shef AbdulNasir Jangda, who I saw on YouTube, runs an amazing place.
- The Qalam team members are very professional in the organization and facilitating of the courses, yet also very friendly.
The ambiance is very blue. It is a nice laid back atmosphere, but I don't recommend it for a date night. For starters, it's usually closed in the evening, but secondly, it would be kind of awkward given the divider down the middle of the main hall.
- The instructors have knowledge, know how to convey it, and always make themselves available for questions related to the course and at times even those not related.
I did have some difficulty locating the menu online, it seems as if they might focus on using local ingredients, and therefore it changes daily.
- The curriculum is far from being simply academic information. The one is diligent and focused, not only leaves with the satisfaction of having learned a great deal, but will also feel spiritually rejuvenated.
Qalam Institute is definitely the place to be for all your institutional needs. After searching for many institutions - both in the states and abroad - I settled on Qalam Institute, and boy am I glad to have done so. Qalam Institute fulfills all the criteria of being an institute. For example, they are an Institute. Also, they function like an institute. What's not to love? If you're still not convinced, then come visit us and feel the amazing institutional environment present here for yourself. You may love it so much, you won't want to leave! Or be allowed to.
Qalam Institute is a gem of Dallas and blessing to Muslim community at large.
I recommend any and all of their programs.
Pro-tip: Try to get there around lunch time, sometimes they have Clif bars there to eat. I was lucky enough to snag a chocolate chip flavored one last time I was there.
Like most halal restaurants in Dallas, I really enjoyed the free water. Kudos to the Qalam team.
I like the way Sheikh Abdul Nasir connects the hearts to the phophetic life and incidences.
I took the "10 Things" and "Seerah Intensive" courses with Qalam Institute.
All in all, it's a great place to visit, I will definitely be back again insha'Allah.
